Five mbr membrane module modes

There are five common methods of mbr membrane module in industrial production:

Plate and Frame Module, Spiral WoundModule, Tubular Module, HollowFiberModule and CapillaryModule. The first two use flat membrane, and the last three use tubular membrane. Diameter of tubular membrane>10mm; Hole tube type 0.5~10.0mm; Hollow chemical fiber type<0.5mm.

 Mbr membrane

(1) Box type filter press

MBR membrane It is a membrane module method initially used in the process, and its design is similar to the filter plate of ordinary filter press.

Advantages: simple production, processing and installation, convenient and fast operation process, and conducive to maintenance, removal and disassembly.

Disadvantages: The airtightness is complex, the pressure hazard is great, and the packing density is small.

(2) Tubular

It is composed of membrane and membrane support, and has two operation modes: internal profiled steel plate and external profiled steel plate. In fact, the internal pressure profiled steel plate is used, that is, the leakage is introduced from the pipe, and the seepage liquid is discharged from the pipe. The membrane diameter is in the middle of 6~24mm.

Advantages: The material liquid can control the flow of seepage, is not easy to block, is very easy to clean, and has little pressure damage.

Disadvantages: small packing density.

(3) Hollow chemical fiber type

The assembly method is shown in the figure below: the diameter is generally 40~250 μ m. Inside diameter: 25~42 μ m。 In MBR, the components are often put into the circulating fluidized bed tubular reactor immediately, and no compressive strength container is required to form an immersion membrane membrane bioreactor. Generally, it is external pressure membrane module.

Advantages: high compressive strength and tensile strength, not easy to deform, no need for fulcrum raw materials; High loading density; The project budget is relatively low; Long service life, polyester hollow chemical fiber membrane with stable analytical chemistry and low water permeability can be used.

Disadvantages: It is more sensitive to clogging, and air pollution and channeling effect will do great harm to the characteristics of membrane extraction.

General requirements for MBR membrane module scheme design:

(1) Provide sufficient industrial equipment fulcrums to the membrane, so that the flow channel is smooth, and there is no circulation blind spot and artesian flow area;

(2) Low energy consumption, try to reduce channeling effect, improve extraction efficiency, and reduce membrane air pollution;

(3) The packing density shall be as high as possible, and the installation, removal and disassembly shall be convenient and fast;

(4) It has sufficient fracture toughness, analytical chemistry and temperature resistance.

The selection of membrane components shall take into account the cost, filling density, application site, system process, membrane air pollution and removal, application deadline, etc.
