There are five common membrane module modes in industrial production:

Plate and Frame Module, Spiral WoundModule, Tubular Module, Hollow Fiber Module and CapillaryModule. The first two apply tablet film, and the last three apply tubular film.

Hole tube type - 0.5~10.0mm;

Hollow chemical fiber type<0.5mm>.

MBR membrane The common membrane module modes in the process are: plate frame type, round tube type, and hollow chemical fiber type.

1. Plate and frame type:

Plate and frame membrane module is a membrane module mode originally used in MBR process, and its appearance design is similar to that of ordinary plate and frame membrane filter press.

Advantages: simple production and assembly, convenient operation, easy maintenance, cleaning and replacement.

Defects: complicated sealing, great damage to working pressure, and small packing density.

2. Tubular type:

The tubular membrane module is composed of a membrane and a supporting point of the membrane. There are two operation methods: internal pressure plate and external pressure plate. In particular, internal pressure plate is selected, that is, seepage water is injected into the pipe and seepage liquid is discharged from the pipe. The membrane diameter is between 6~24 mm.

Advantages of tubular membrane: the feed liquid can manipulate the seepage flow, not easy to block, easy to clean, and less damage to the working pressure.

Defect: relatively small filling density.

3. Tubular type:

The diameter of tubular membrane module is generally 40-250 μ m. Inside diameter: 25~42 μ m。

Advantages:

High filling relative density;

Relativity of project cost is low;

Long service life, polyester hollow chemical fiber membrane with stable organic chemical properties and low permeability coefficient can be selected;

The membrane has good compression resistance and does not need supporting point raw materials.

Defect: It is sensitive to blocking, and environmental pollution and concentration difference are very harmful to the separation characteristics of the membrane.

4. General provisions of MBR membrane module design scheme:

(1) The membrane shall be provided with sufficient mechanical equipment support points, and the flow channel shall be smooth without flowing blind area and free flowing area;

(2) Low energy consumption, try to avoid concentration difference, improve separation efficiency, and alleviate membrane environmental pollution;

(3) The relative density of filling shall be as high as possible, and the installation, cleaning and replacement shall be convenient;

(4) It has sufficient impact toughness, organic chemistry and heat resistance.

The use of mbr membrane modules should comprehensively consider its cost, filling relative density, application site, system software steps, membrane environmental pollution and cleaning, service life, etc.
